UN chief says Ukraine war an ‘open wound,’ 2 years after Russian invasion

The United Nations (UN) Security Council held a Friday special meeting on the eve of the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described the war in Ukraine as “an open wound at the heart of Europe” two years on, and that it was “high time for peace.”
