Tiff Macklem expects housing will rebound but with ‘considerable uncertainty’ in prices

Speaking in Montreal, Que., on Tuesday, Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem said that housing contracted in 2023 and that he expected housing will rebound in the upcoming year, but that the outlook for home prices in the recovery comes with “considerable uncertainty.”
