Out-of-town parents of children at the Montreal Children’s Hospital will soon benefit from a new place to stay. Just steps from the hospital, Pavillon Kat Demes will offer free accommodations to families of hospitalized patients. The residence is set to open this spring and is named after the daughter of the Demes family who tragically died at the age of 5 from a brain tumour. Her loved ones have since raised over $3 million for cancer research and to help build the new facility.
