U.S. FAA launches investigation into Boeing after Alaska Airlines door blows off in-flight

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is launching a formal investigation into Boeing, after the door on one of its aircraft blew out during a flight. The FAA says the investigation will focus on Boeing’s quality control and whether its products “were in a condition for safe operation.”
