Peterborough could opt for ‘in-house’ approach for economic development as deal with PKED expires at end of 2024

Peterborough city council met Monday evening for its first meeting of 2024.
Among the items included an information report on the Peterborough and the Kawarthas Economic Development’s (PKED) activities in the second half of 2023.
The city’s deal with the economic development agency expires at the end of 2024, prompting suggestions the city may turn to ‘in-house’ efforts to help recruit businesses to the city.
