Invasive strep A: Infection symptoms Canadians should watch out for

Health care professionals across Canada are saying Invasive group A streptococcus (iGAS) could be responsible for many of the symptoms of illness many are feeling this winter. For the most part, cases of strep A are treatable — however, there can be serious risks associated with the infection. Katherine Ward reports.
