As the REM light-rail transit service gets closer to launching in Montreal’s the West Island, there is pressure to develop housing near public transit corridors. As that pressure intensified, one city council decided to hit the brakes on any developments in key areas of the city. And with that decision came controversy and lawsuits. Felicia Parrillo sat down with Pointe-Claire Mayor Tim Thomas to discuss it.
