A Spanish rescue team helped dozens of stranded migrants off the Canary Islands on Saturday, taking them to the Arguineguin port. The group of 57 men received medical attention and red blankets upon being rescued. As of Dec. 15, more than 37,000 migrants have reached Gran Canaria island from West Africa in 2023, a 140 per cent increase from 2022.
