Winnipeg Police said Friday an armed suspect took two women, a child, and an adult male hostage in a Furby Street building suite on Thursday. After surrounding the suite, police said one woman, the child and the male either were released or escaped. Police tactical units then entered the suite, fatally shooting the suspect and securing the remaining female hostage. Police say the hostage-taker is now also a suspect in a homicide at the same building, which occurred earlier in the week.
