“The victim, who was on his way to work, and the suspect were not known to each other,” Winnipeg police Const. Jason Michalyshyn said on Friday. “Support from the community is flowing and we’re here to support the family of the victim, Ivan Rubanik, and respond accordingly to incidents like these by holding those responsible to account.”
