Guilbeault lays out roadmap for 2035 electric vehicle targets

Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault on Tuesday clarified the government’s timeline for its 2035 electric vehicle (EV) target, announcing that by 2026, 20 per cent of all new vehicle sales must be EVs. He also outlined how the new credit system will work, with companies earning, losing and banking credits for meeting, exceeding or missing sales targets.
