After weeks of intense earthquake activity, the Fagradalsfjall volcano in southwest Iceland erupted on Monday evening. Spewing lava lit the sky red and orange near Grindavik — the fishing town that was evacuated three weeks prior due to thousands of small earthquakes creating fissures in the ground.
