The World Food Programme (WFP) says half the population of Gaza is starving, urging Israel and the international community to significantly increase the amount of aid entering the besieged enclave as fighting rages inside Gaza for a tenth week. Israel says it is preparing a system to allow more aid to get through, but onlookers say the plan isn’t enough. The Hamas-run Health Ministry says a barrage of Israeli airstrikes killed dozens more today, pushing the death toll in Gaza to over 17,700 since Oct. 7. Adding to the devastation is anger, growing inside and outside Gaza, over the U.S. decision to veto a call for a ceasefire in the conflict. Redmond Shannon reports.
