Aid groups warn of starvation in Gaza after U.S. vetoes ceasefire call

The World Food Programme (WFP) says half the population of Gaza is starving, urging Israel and the international community to significantly increase the amount of aid entering the besieged enclave as fighting rages inside Gaza for a tenth week. Israel says it is preparing a system to allow more aid to get through, but onlookers say the plan isn’t enough.
