Snowstorm pummels southern Quebec, tens of thousands without power

Tens of thousands of households across the province were in the dark on Monday after southern Quebec was walloped by the first major storm of the season. Many Montrealers began their day digging themselves out from underneath the white stuff and the city says thousands of employees have been deployed for the first snow-clearing operation of the year.
