One man is dead and an officer is seriously injured after a Sunday shooting in Roanoake, Virginia. Roanoke Police say officers were trying to arrest a homicide suspect, tracking him to the Melrose Towers complex on Melrose Avenue. RPD says the man began shooting at officers who began firing back. One officer, a woman, was hit. The suspect, identified only as a 39-year-old man, was killed.
