Trudeau calls Conservatives’ rejection of Ukraine trade deal over carbon pricing language ‘absurd’

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Friday that the Conservative Party’s rejection of Canada’s free trade agreement with Ukraine over language around carbon pricing was “absurd.” He suggested the Tories had used carbon pricing as an “excuse” and accused the Conservatives of “turning their backs” on Ukraine.
