Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland toured a rental housing development
in Toronto on Thursday and discussed the government’s plan to build more homes faster across the country. She said that 484 new rental homes would soon be available for Toronto families, with 108 of them having below-market rent. Freeland added, “We are unlocking billions of dollars in new financing, money that will go towards supporting the construction of new homes.”
