Vernon’s only walk-in clinic has permanently shut its doors, leaving residents without a family doctor in limbo. BC SPCA announced it is shutting down its Vernon location for good, due to structural problems with the building. A police dog helped stop a would-be thief from breaking into what remained of a Kelowna-area home that was largely destroyed by wildfires, RCMP say.
