Toronto police inspector Keri Fernandes said during a Wednesday press conference that multiple pedestrians were struck by a single vehicle in the city’s east end, with at least one person who was treated at the scene and three others who were transported to the hospital – one of whom succumbed to her injuries. Fernandes said the homicide team is investigating because there is “some information” that these people were struck “intentionally.” Fernandes added that all the victims were adults, but did not know their “demographics.”
