Speaking in the House of Commons in Ottawa on Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre grew heated during a debate on carbon pricing carve outs, after Trudeau’s government announced last month it would implement a three-year pause on the carbon price for home heating oil. “While our government has a serious plan that addresses affordability and the climate crisis, [Poilievre] has no plan and no vision. Perhaps he should put his glasses back on,” Trudeau said.
