After hitting the French-Atlantic coast on Wednesday, Storm Ciaran continued its path of destruction throughout western Europe on Thursday, killing at least seven people and causing floods across France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Italy’s Tuscany region was hit particularly hard by the storm after being ravaged by floods which resulted in the death of at least five.
