The Senate Committee on Human Rights released its report on Islamophobia on Wednesday, sharing the impact hate crimes are having on Canadian Muslims. Among other institutions, the committee calls upon the CRTC, Statistics Canada and the Department of Finance to take “urgent action” and implement 13 recommendations that will help protect Muslims — including measures for children who experience “trauma” related to anti-Muslim hatred.
