On Friday, Deputy Chief Loren Pogue from the Community Safety Command addressed the public regarding the large-scale demonstrations expected to take place during the upcoming weekend in Toronto. She said officers from the dedicated hate crime unit will be deployed on the ground to gather evidence and investigate any suspected hate crimes, hate speech or signage.
