The militant group Hamas released two U.S. hostages — mother and daughter Judith and Natalie Raanan — who were kidnapped in its attack on southern Israel on Oct. 7, U.S. President Joe Biden said in a statement on Friday. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the two Americans are “now safely in the hands of Israeli authorities” and that a team from the U.S. embassy will be seeing them shortly to provide support and assistance.
