Hamilton man arrested after hit-and-run involving pedestrian: police

A hit-and-run investigation by Hamilton police has resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old man.

Police say a 21-year-old Dunnville man was hit by a Dodge Caravan in the Burton and Cheever streets area on Sunday, Feb. 24.

Despite suffering major damage, police say the van fled the scene, while the pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation led to the arrest of the accused, who is now charged with failing to remain at a collision, causing bodily harm.
