Minus 26 is what it felt like with wind chill in the Central Okanagan Monday morning as temperatures slid back to -19 degrees to start the day under sunny skies.

Beautiful blue skies and sunshine stuck around all morning as the mercury made it up into minus single digits heading into the noon hour before pushing up even further into the afternoon.

Skies stay clear into Tuesday morning, allowing temperatures to plunge back into the minus teens with wind chills into the -20s to start the day in the sunshine.

Changes start to work their way in during the day as a system over Vancouver Island combines with a second system swinging south from Alaska, which will build clouds into the valley during the day.

There could be some high elevation flurries with those clouds, some of which could sneak down to the valley bottom later in the day as daytime highs make a break for the freezing mark.

That system will slowly start to swing ashore and keep the region under cloudy skies on Wednesday with a good chance of snow starting up during the afternoon with a daytime high around or just above zero.

Pockets of snow are likely to linger into the day on Thursday before some late day sunny breaks could work their way into the region as temperatures aim to warm back above freezing, possibly by a few degrees.

Clouds with a decent chance of flurries linger on Friday before skies start to clear back out into the weekend with a return some sunshine and cooler overnight lows.
