Teen charged in connection with stabbing incident in Bradford: police

A 17-year-old teen has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident in Bradford, police say.

According to South Simcoe police, officers received a report on Jan. 28 at around 2 p.m. that a 16-year-old teen had been stabbed.

Police say the teen was transported to hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Following an investigation, a 17-year-old teen was arrested, officers say. Police say she was charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police say the accused and victim were known to each other.

No further information will be released due to provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
