A 67-year-old Flin Flon man is in custody after an encounter with police in a parking lot Jan. 13.
RCMP said they stopped to speak with two men when they noticed a can of bear mace was partially hidden in one man’s jacket.
A search of the man and his truck turned up 32 grams of cocaine, a large-capacity .22 rifle magazine, cash, and drug paraphernalia, along with the bear mace.
Jeffery Giest has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, carrying a concealed weapon, three counts of failing to comply with conditions, and numerous other offences.
