Middlesex OPP lay voyeurism charge after woman finds recording device near a window

A Middlesex Centre man, 44, has been charged with voyeurism in connection with an investigation by the Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crimes Unit.

Police were contacted after a woman, 20, found what looked like a recording device placed near a window that focused on a change room area in a home. The woman doesn’t live at that home.

On Tuesday, officers executed a search warrant at a Middlesex Centre home and seized several items, including cell phones and mass storage devices.

The accused was arrested and released on a promise to appear in a London court on Aug. 29.

The investigation is ongoing.
