One man hospitalized after overnight shooting in Saint-Martin

A 21-year-old man was targeted by gunfire in Saint-Martin early Monday morning. The victim was not struck by bullets but was taken to hospital and treated for shock – Mar 26, 2018

Police say a 21-year-old man was targeted in a shooting that took place at 5 Place de la Belle-Rive in Laval’s Saint-Martin district early Monday morning.

Laval police received a call about gunfire outside the apartment complex around 12:25 a.m.

When they arrived, they found the victim, who was not struck by bullets.

“The victim was hospitalized and treated for shock,” said Laval police spokesperson Patrick Boucher.

“He was released from hospital shortly after.”

Police say the victim — who is not known to Laval police — did not co-operate in the investigation. Police do not have a suspect.
