Fewer people unemployed in Kelowna

It seems Kelowna is a good place to be if you’re looking for work.

Statistics Canada reports the city’s February jobless numbers dropped to 5.8 per cent from 6.5 per cent in January.

The figures released Friday show BC has the lowest unemployment rate in the country at 4.7 per cent.

The national rate is 5.8 per cent.

Stats Can reports there were 15,400 net new jobs in Canada last month.

Most were part-time positions.
