Investigators estimate the value at more than $20,000.

Det.-Sgt. Emidio Evangelista believes it was stolen from construction sites and restoration projects throughout the Golden Horseshoe over the past couple of years.

The property was seized on Feb. 22, and 32 year-old Shawn Hunt charged with dangerous driving and flight from police, when officers executed a search warrant in Upper Stoney Creek.

Three schools in the area of Highgate Drive and Upper Centennial Parkway were placed in a “hold and secure” during the course of that investigation.

Evangelista adds that anyone who believes their property was recovered should contact Hamilton police by calling 905-546-2991.
