Interior Health announces additional meningitis vaccination clinics for Okanagan teens

After hundreds of teenagers showed up to vaccination clinics throughout the Okanagan this weekend, the health authority has announced additional dates.

“These clinics are intended to capture 15 to 19-year-old people who will not have access to immunization at school clinics,” the health region said in a statement.

Vaccinations have been offered to Grade 9 students since last year.

Schools are also offering vaccinations throughout the week.

North Okanagan
Vernon Health Unit (1440 14 Ave. Vernon)
Dec. 18 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
Dec. 19 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Dec. 20 and Dec. 21 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Lumby Health Unit (2135 Norris Ave, Lumby)
Dec. 22 from 3 to 5:30 p.m.

Central Okanagan
Community Health & Services Centre (505 Doyle Ave. Kelowna)
Dec. 18 to 21 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Rutland Health Centre (155 Gray Rd. Kelowna)
Dec. 18 to 21 from 5 to 7 p.m.
