Seven-year-old Resse posted video on her father’s Twitter account on Oct. 6 proving she knew a lot about “routes.”

“This is a corner route. This is a slant route. This is a post, up and over,” the young Philadelphia Eagles fan says with confidence in the video, while holding pieces of paper with football plays drawn on them.

“This is a curl. My hair curls when it rains.”

The video has received plenty of praise as people slammed Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton online, after he laughed at Charlotte Observer reporter Jourdan Rodrigue on Oct. 4 when she asked the former NFL MVP about football plays.

“It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes. It’s funny,” Newton reacted.

Fans and critics blasted Newton for his sexist reaction.

“We decided to put the video together just to show Cam Newton that the female fans here in Philadelphia do know their football,” Reese’s father, Eric, told WCAU.

At least one sponsor dropped Newton as a spokesperson.

WATCH: Cam Newton apologies for ‘sexist’ comments made towards female reporter

Newton released an apology a day after his comments, saying his “word choice was extremely degrading and disrespectful to women.”

The apology was clearly not enough for Reese and her father Erick, who are die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.

“He apologized and we appreciated the apology. But, as we’re playing the Panthers on Thursday, you know, we’re Eagles fans, so we like to talk a little smack. Right? Right baby?” Reese responded to her father with a nod.

The young girl didn’t hold back from taking shots at Newton either.

“Cam, if you forget any of these [plays], the Eagles are going to show you on Thursday night football,” Reese said in the video.

The video received thousands of retweets since being shared.

Eric hopes the video will bring awareness to sexism and gender inequalities.

“I feel [it’s] important to support her a hundred percent, and let her know that if she’s female that doesn’t mean she can’t do everything that guys do,” Eric said. “Girls are just as good as guys.”
