U-Haul truck sought in connection to death of Markham man

Police are searching for a vehicle of interest following the death of a man in Markham.

York Regional Police responded to a call around 5 p.m. on Monday about an unconscious man located on Stirling Crescent south of Denison Street and west of Brimley Road.

Authorities said officers found a 30-year-old man suffering from unspecified injuries. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

The victim has been identified as Michael Khan from Markham. Police said an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the exact cause of death.

Police initially called the death as suspicious.

Investigators have released an image of a U-Haul truck seen driving in the area where the deceased was found.

Police are also asking for the public to come forward with dashcam video or images captured from residential security systems.
