Early Friday morning, RCMP responded to a car in a slough just east of Punnichy along Highway 15.
Two of the three people in the vehicle managed to escape. A 15-year-old boy sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted to hospital by STARS. An 18-year-old man thought to be the driver was located near the scene with minor injuries.

The third passenger, an 18-year-old man, was confirmed dead at the scene.
All three are from the Punnichy area.
The investigation is ongoing.
