Montreal police have issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Jean Edens Lindor, a suspect in connection to the city’s 17th homicide of the year.

Early Monday morning, a 26-year-old was stabbed in an apartment building on Mullins Street in Pointe-Saint-Charles.

Recent reports have stated the victim was a transgender female, however police are still referring to them as male.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact 911 or Info-Crime Montreal at 514 393-1133.
