Editor’s Note: This story has been updated with information that four staff members were taken to hospital on Sunday evening.

EMS said they were called to the scene of an incident at the Calgary Correctional Centre at around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Five people were taken to hospital and Global News has learned one inmate and four staff members were exposed to an unknown substance.

EMS said all five people are in stable, non-life threatening condition.

Paramedics would not confirm if drugs were involved or what caused the incident.
