Calgary election 2017: Evan Woolley wins Ward 8

Incumbent candidate Evan Woolley has been re-elected to represent Ward 8 on council in the October 2017 election, according to unofficial results Monday night.

Karla Charest

Karla Charest is a project manager who has worked with companies in Canada and around the world. As a city councillor, Charest would work to reduce property taxes, make housing affordable and focus on neighbourhood character.

Chris Davis

Chris Davis has been involved with municipal government for more than 25 years and has been a member of the city’s parking authority and planning commission. Davis says he will be a “tax warrior” and focus on having local input in planning decisions if elected.

Carter Thomson

Evan Woolley (Incumbent)

Evan Woolley was the city’s youngest councillor when he was elected in 2013. In his run for re-election, Woolley is putting his focus on transit, economic development and pedestrian safety.
