In the first quarter, the Rams took the lead on an early field goal from Wayne Palmer.

Up 10-3, the Sun extended their lead deep in the red zone.

QB Nick Wenman faked out all of Langley on a play action to Kouri, and reversed the ball to Kyler Mosley, who cut wide and dove in for the score.

Then in the final minute of the half, with the Rams taking a risk on a 3rd down and 10, quarterback Colby Peters connected with Khalik Johnson, which cut the lead to 17-10 at the half.

Early in the third, another Wegner FG made it 20-10 Okanagan

But with about 8 minutes left in the quarter, Nathan Lund barrelled his way into the endzone, making it a three point game.

The game would stay close until about 6 minutes remained in the fourth, when Kouri notched his second rushing TD of the game.

After the Rams’ Ryan MacDonald was picked off by Beck Fullerton, who came only a couple yards shy of a pick six, Wenman called his own number for the two-yard punch, to make it a 34-17 final.

Next up for the undefeated Sun, a matchup with the winless Valley Huskers, who visit the Apple Bowl next Saturday night. Kickoff is at 7 pm.
