Cst. Ian MacDonald with the Abbotsford Police says it is too early to determine if this incident was targeted or random.

“What I would say is that if we do look at Abbotsford history, the vast majority of homicides that we have incurred have been targeted in nature,” he said. “Time will tell if we are to put this in that category as well.”

Police say there are no suspects in the case and Abbotsford Police major crime detectives and IHIT are joining together in the investigation.
