The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) said a suspect was found at the scene by police and was taken into custody.

Gurtarn ‘Tarn’ Sandhu, 26, has been charged with manslaughter in the death of the victim, who has been identified as 36-year-old Jaspreet ‘Jesse’ Dhaliwal.

IHIT along with the Surrey RCMP, Integrated Forensic team and B.C. Coroner’s Service are reviewing the evidence. Investigators believe the incident was not random and early indications suggested an argument between the two men led to the stabbing.

IHIT spokesperson Cpl. Meghan Foster said the two men were not known to police.
