71-year-old man charged following single vehicle crash in Grey County

Multiple charges have been laid against a 71-year-old man in connection to a single vehicle crash over the weekend in the municipality of Grey Highlands.

Grey County OPP responded to the scene on Grey Road 4, west of Grey Road 124, shortly after 7 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 11.

According to investigators, the driver of a 2005 Dodge Dakota pick-up truck had lost control of the vehicle while travelling eastbound on Grey Rd. 4.

He suffered minor injuries that were treated at the scene by Grey County paramedics.

As a result of the police investigation, a 71-year old Grey Highlands man was charged with driving while under suspension, operating an unsafe vehicle, permit use of plate not authorized for vehicle, and fail to apply for permit on becoming owner under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

He is scheduled to appear in court next month.
