EDMONTON – Alberta’s 15th premier, Dave Hancock, will be immortalized on the walls of the legislature on Monday.
Speaker Robert Wanner’s office says Hancock’s official portrait will be unveiled in a ceremony in the afternoon.
Hancock served in the top job for almost six months in 2014 following the sudden resignation of then-premier Alison Redford over a spending scandal.

Hancock was selected by the Progressive Conservative caucus to lead until the party selected a new permanent leader, Jim Prentice.
Prior to that, Hancock was the PCs’ longtime wise man and warhorse, serving government in numerous cabinet roles for 17 years, including health, justice, education and social services.
He is a lawyer and is now doing work for the Dentons law firm.
