You may be loving the seasonably warm weather in November, but it’s putting a damper on winter businesses in the province.

Stony Mountain Ski Area has delayed its opening day as a result of the warm start to the season.

You won’t be able to hit the slopes until Dec. 10, due to the lack of snow.

Stony Mountain Ski Resort usually opens its doors to skiers and snowboarders Dec. 1. Last year the ski resort was about two weeks late opening.

The resort needs -7 C or colder for making its snow.

Around five centimetres of snow is expected to fall in Winnipeg Tuesday.

West of Winnipeg should be getting it much worse: there’s a snowfall warning in effect for southwestern Manitoba, where 20-30 centimetres can be expected by the end of the day Wednesday.
