A man in his 20s was stabbed in the back in a North York park and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries around 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
“Reports were that there was a group of young men in the G. Ross Lord Park area and they were walking in the footpath of that area and encountered another group of males,” said Constable Allyson Douglas-Cook with the Toronto police.
Investigators said a physical altercation ensued resulting in the male suffering a stab wound to the back. He was located outside a nearby apartment building on Antibes Drive.
Police said they are looking for three “persons of interest” and one suspect.
“At this time there is very little information we have on the suspect, so our officers are speaking with the involved parties,” said Cook.
The two groups of males are believed to be in their 20s. It’s unclear if they knew each other.
