Amber Alert cancelled after missing 4-year-old Vancouver girl found safe

An Amber Alert for a missing four-year-old girl has now been cancelled after the child was found safe.

The alert was issued by Vancouver Police Thursday night following the alleged parental abduction.

The 46-year-old suspect, who does not have custody of the child, has no fixed address and is involved in a high-risk lifestyle according to police.

Vancouver Police say the child and the suspect were found at about noon Friday in Surrey.

The 46-year-old suspect is now in custody and the investigation is continuing.

This was the 19th Amber Alert activation since the program was launched in BC in 2004.
