A Six Roads, N.B. man has been charged in relation to an investigation into street-level cocaine trafficking in the Acadian Peninsula.

In February 2016, RCMP launched an investigation which led to the seizure of cocaine and marijuana.

Six other men from New Brunswick were charged with numerous counts of drug trafficking in June.

Raymond Cassie, 48, appeared in Tracadie Provincial Court Wednesday and was charged with five counts of cocaine trafficking in the areas of Sainte-Rose, Inkerman and Six Roads.

He is set to appear in court Jan. 11, 2017 to enter a plea and has since been released on numerous conditions.

The six other men already charged are set to appear in court again between February and June, 2017.

The police investigation continues.
