Occupants escape serious injury following rollover in Kelowna

KELOWNA, B.C. – RCMP said they believe speed was a factor in a vehicle rollover on Highway 33 on the outskirts of Kelowna Tuesday night.

Emergency crews were called to Walker Hill in the Black Mountain neighbourhood around 8:45 p.m.

Cst. Ian Poschenrieder said a vehicle was speeding when it was cut off by another vehicle, causing the driver to lose control.

An unknown number of people who were inside the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries, Poschenrieder said.

He added the other vehicle failed to stay at the scene.

So far, charges were not being considered, according to Poschenrieder.
