Saskatoon police were busy Saturday night and Sunday, responding to over 300 calls for service.
Just before 6 a.m. CT, police and the fire department were called to a suspicious garage fire at 204 Ave. E South. Investigators believe it to be arson. Damage is estimated at $10,000 and there were no injuries.

Then at around 6:10 a.m., officers were called to the scene of a suspicious person passed out in a vehicle in the 1600-block of Avenue F North. The man drove away from police at a high rate of speed. Police called off the chase due to risk of public safety. Police said the vehicle was stolen.
Not long after, at around 6:25 a.m., a 32-year-old man was reported to be walking yard-to-yard along the 300-block of Weyakwin Drive with knives in his hands. The man was arrested without any injuries to officers or the public.
At around 12:10 p.m., a vehicle struck a cyclist at 8th Street and Dufferin Avenue. The cyclist’s injuries were minor.
Only minutes later, police were called to the Friendship Inn on 20th Street for a report of an “all bloody'”injured male. Police said the man had a small laceration from an assault. He was transported to hospital. No word yet on a suspect.

At around 12:25 p.m., a 35-year-old man was stabbed in the 500-block of Avenue K North. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Police said the two men were known to each other. The suspect will appear in provincial court Monday morning.
At 12:45 p.m., police were notified of a robbery in the 100-block of Avenue R South.
A person had arranged to meet a man for an article being sold on social media.
When they met, the man pulled out a knife, stole the items and left on foot. There were no injuries reported.
He is described as indigenous, 19- to 20-years-old, a six-foot three with short hair. He was wearing black baggie jeans, black shoes and a black sweater with a logo on the bottom saying “Only God Can Judge Us.”
Police are reminding everyone not to meet with unknown people in an unfamiliar area or somewhere away from public view.
